Imogen Downes is a Bristolian theatre-maker and poet. She trained on Bristol Old Vic’s emerging talent scheme, Made In Bristol, and has worked closely with the theatre ever since. Her work has been showcased by Cheltenham Literature Festival, Rife Magazine and Apples and Snakes. In 2018 she was named on Rife Magazine’s 24 Under 24 list for her work in poetry. Her debut poetry collection Becoming Noah will be published by Against the Grain Poetry Press in Autumn 2021.
Laurel Molly is a freelance illustrator and animator based in Bristol. Always curious to look into human behaviour and the world we live in and report what she observes through her art. She makes art with compassion, her personal work is an international collaboration between the artist and the subject. She tells stories through loose lines and gentle colours, carrying a powerful message of social justice.
Lucy Sheldrake is a freelance print and pattern designer, living in Bristol UK.
She create patterns and artwork for clients in the worlds of fashion and interiors including John Lewis, Scion, Berska, Zara and Mango. She loves to see her prints go on to have lives of their own as products out in the world.
Parys Gardener is a multi-award-winning contemporary digital illustrator from Bristol who’s passion derives from creating artwork which represents women of colour – particularly Black women, empowering them to feel seen and heard.
She creates memorable work which can be described as pop art with a modern edge. Her work has been commissioned for a collaborative project with Banksy and her first solo exhibition was in Amsterdam in 2018/2019. She has been commissioned by brands such as Nike, Footlocker, Facebook, BBC, gal-dem and more.
Phoebe Stone is a UK based artist, currently exploring the medium of compressed charcoal. She works on a variety of subjects, from portraits of pets and wildlife, to people. Self-taught, she hopes that her art inspires others to have the courage to start drawing.
Scarlett Smyth is an artist, poet, and creative producer, she has most recntly worked as an Assistant Creative Director on a touring social action through arts project for Creative Youth Network in Bristol. She is an advocate of social change and aims to amplify and support quiet voices within the arts from disadvantaged backgrounds. She is represented by Rising Arts Agency and an alumni of BBC Arts, Channel 4 Random Acts, and the pilot scheme Creative Workforce For The Future. She is also a founding member of Bristol Culture Young Collective where she advises on inclusion and accessibility within Bristol museums.
Tatchiana Deer is a Bristol-based artist specialising in portraits and figurative art. She is primarily a digital painter but also works in mixed media, particularly ink, watercolours and oils.
Her work is largely influenced by her personal experiences of cultural identity and gender, juxtaposing modern subjects, patterns and palettes against more traditional painting techniques. She is especially inspired by pop culture as an unconventional avenue of creativity. Her subjects often engage the viewer head-on and she incorporates many elements from popular media, modern technology and fashion into her practice.
