We’re looking for new Board Members !
• Do you live, work or have a strong connection to the St Pauls community?
• Do you have a background in HR, Legals or Finance?
• Do you have experience within Bristol’s creative sector and a passion for supporting young people to see the creative industries as a viable job route?
If so, we want to hear from you!
PAPER Arts are an innovative Community Interest Company. Proudly based in St. Paul’s, we help 18 to 30 year olds in Bristol to build a network and establish a creative career by developing a community and supporting them to grow in confidence.
There are many organisations in Bristol delivering fantastic programmes for young creatives. We act as an alumni network to continue an offering of support even after programmes have ended, bridging the gap between learning the skills and working and living as a creative. Through enabling the next generation to pursue creative careers, we will continue to have the resources to keep the Arts and Culture within the UK alive.
We simply explain the reasoning why we do what we do, in five words: to Disrupt, to Tackle, to Encourage, to Support and to Retain.
Disrupting the view of the ‘starving artist’ and addressing the stigma around creative careers
Tackling the issue of loneliness and isolation within the industry
Encouraging personal + soft skill development
Supporting the recovery of the creative sector post Covid-19
Retaining young people in the industry
We are currently seeking new board members with experience in HR, Legals, or Finance, to support PAPER Arts to capitalize on our six year track record of providing industry knowledge, mentoring and creative enterprise training for young people; from workshops, courses, internships and work experience programmes.
All board member roles are voluntary.
